Hydrating Ingredients For Summer Skin

Hydrating Ingredients For Summer Skin - 7E Wellness

With summer just around the corner, it’s important to keep our body hydrated and protected, both internally and externally. Luckily for you, we put together a list with some of the best ingredients to keep your skin looking great all summer long!

First and foremost, sunscreen is a must! We prefer a full-spectrum base to protect against UVA (Aging Rays) and UVB (Burning Rays). A mineral sunscreen with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide is best because not only will it NOT clog pores, but you are protected from the sun immediately - no need to wait 30 minutes. Keep your sunscreen handy so you reapply every 2-3 hours.

Hyaluronic Acid is another great ingredient and a fan favorite. This ingredient is naturally produced in the body and referred to as a humectant. Humectants attract moisture and hold 1,000 times their weight in moisture. It’s best used on damp skin to prevent dehydration from the inside out. Our Replenish Hydrating Spritzer and Peptide Serum are great products with HA to plump and hydrate the skin.

Green Tea is the perfect ingredient for the summer thanks to its soothing and antioxidant properties. Green Tea helps neutralize free radicals from damaging the skin, minimizes oil production and helps calm inflammation. Other benefits include brightened and firm skin, increased hydration and reduced fine lines and wrinkles. Both our ATP Booster Mask and ReStore Conductive Gel contain Green Tea.

When your skin is needing to recharge or restore itself, our Restorative Sheet Mask is what you want to grab. This sheet mask is packed with Epidermal Growth Factors aka EGF, to heal skin and stimulate growth - perfect for after a sunburn. Ginkgo Biloba Extract is another great source with over 49 antioxidants to reduce skin inflammation, tighten and firm skin. Sodium Hyaluronate, another humectant, will hydrate and plump the skin all summer long.

It’s also important to stay hydrated by consuming fruits and vegetables with a high water content. Watermelon, Peaches, Cucumber, Celery, Lettuce and Coconut Water are all great hydration options.
