Right now, when you purchase a MyoLift™ True Microcurrent machine with 7E Wellness you also receive a 4 ounce container of our ReStore conductive treatment gel with anti-aging benefits. But what happens when you run out of this conductive gel? Should you order more? What if you're in a bind and have another client coming in? Could you substitute it with water or ultrasound gel for conductivity? This is a question we often have popping into our direct messages and email inboxes, so let's unpack it.
The quick answer is, sure! If you are desperate and need a medium to assist with slippage and movement of the applicator probes, you could technically use something like water, serums, saline, ultrasound gel, ultrasonic gel. However, baby oil and vaseline should not be used as they do not conduct the current.
Before you decide to move forward with conductive gel alternatives in your business, you really need to ask a more impactful question about your conducting solution...
The answer to this, unfortunately, is no.
It's important to keep in mind that water is a dehydrant to the skin and the other alternative options are occlusive and comedogenic. The molecular weight of these items will not pass the top layers of the skin and can result in clogged pores. Using a moisturizer or serum is not recommended if you're treating a specific skin condition on the onset. It is because of this these products are best used after the skin has gone through a complete series of microcurrent treatments.
7E Wellness embarked on a journey about two years ago to not only create a gel that assisted with slippage and smooth movement of applicator probes, but to maximize the quality and benefits of your microcurrent treatment. This in addition to other considerable factors like maximizing the time, money and other resources that are at hand when a client walks into your esthetics room.
Our ReStore, ReSolve and ReNu conductive treatment gels are about more than conductivity. These thoughtfully formulated, results-oriented products help demonstrate your willingness to go the extra mile for your clients by providing a custom treatment which targets their individual skin concerns. Not only are you complimenting the current and boosting it with conducting ingredients like copper and zinc, you are showing special care and attention to who they are and what their pain-points are (acne, skin sensitivity, mature skin, etc).
